If Your Pup’s Joints Could Talk, They’d Be Screaming 😬
When winter rolls in with its frosty mornings and chilly nights, many of us reach for the warm blanket or crank the heater. But your dog (especially if they're older) might be feeling the cold in ways they can’t tell you. If their joints could talk, they’d probably be screaming for a little extra TLC!
Just like in humans, cold weather can stiffen joints in dogs, making movement more painful, especially for seniors or those with early signs of arthritis. You might notice your dog hesitating before jumping up on the couch, moving more slowly after naps, or struggling with stairs they once bounded up with ease. These subtle changes are often signs that their joints are feeling the cold, too.
Warming Them Up Without Melting Your Power Bill
Thankfully, keeping your pup warm doesn’t have to cost a fortune. Start with the basics. Layer their favourite spots with extra blankets so they can snuggle deep and trap body heat. Crates, beds, and even couch cushions can all become cozy dens with a few low-cost touches. Place their bed away from drafty doors or cold tiles, and consider adding a warm (not hot!) microwavable heat pack under a blanket for those extra-frosty nights.
For pups who spend time outside, make sure they’re coming in dry and warm after walks. A well-fitted dog sweater or coat can help maintain body warmth, especially for smaller breeds or dogs with thin coats. And of course, nothing warms them up like some extra cuddle time.
Support from the Inside Out
Keeping your dog physically comfortable is only one piece of the puzzle. Supporting their joint health from the inside is just as important—especially during colder months when inflammation tends to flare up. That’s why we created our Senior Supplement. Not just for old dogs, but for dogs who need a little extra joint support.
Packed with carefully selected, research-backed ingredients, it includes:
Think of it as an extra layer of internal warmth and care—something to help your pup feel looser, more mobile, and more like themselves, no matter the season!
